I've been dealing with those tricky classic puzzles and ended up testing my 4090 Strix in a VR version of Cyberpunk 2077 with VorpX mods. I turned off ray tracing and set everything to maximum without DLSS. This brought the GPU usage up to 95-98% and my CPU to 60%, causing some VR spikes that shouldn’t happen unless the GPU is hitting its full 99% limit. What’s unusual is that when I lower everything to the lowest settings, DLSS enabled, the VR stats show only 0.4ms with 50% usage and 40% CPU load, yet the game runs at 75-89 FPS—well below the 120 FPS I need. Even more puzzling, switching out of the game and checking the monitor shows both GPU and CPU at 50% usage, while in-game they stay under 35-40%. This seems counterintuitive. I’m unsure what’s really limiting performance. My PSU is a Corsair HX1500i 1500W, but with this bottleneck I rarely exceed 300W. There must be something else restricting everything. Despite getting 500fps in Heaven Benchmark 4.0, I’m not seeing the expected performance boost. Turning everything down in Cyberpunk should push the Valve Index to its 144Hz limit, but it’s stuck around 89-90Hz and drops frequently. What’s going on?
