Hello everyone. I have a simple budget build with a new rog b550 PSU, an RTX 2060 Super, and M.2 storage. After updating the system and reinstalling Windows everything is functioning properly. When I put it to sleep after gaming, it no longer boots and all lights come on. The Q LEDs stay lit for VGA, which suggests a GPU problem. I’ve verified all connections, swapped the card back to my old GTX1650, changed the slots on the motherboard, checked the RAM, tried different RAM modules, but nothing changes. I’m thinking it might be a motherboard issue and would appreciate advice before purchasing another board. Any suggestions for testing further? Thanks!
850W definitely covers everything here; it’s the only approach I can think of without needing a volt tester or checking each tiny area on the MOBO. I’ll reconsider that point. Also, verify the PSU as well. If it matches the same wattage change, it might be a bad PSU. Otherwise, bring the MOBO back and replace it—assuming you’re covered under warranty.
I will safely disconnect and reconnect everything, including the PSU side—perhaps switching to a different M.2 port.
