You're facing a persistent problem where your drive frequently crashes while playing games on Steam, even though it appears functional in other situations. The drive shows up in Device Manager and Samsung Magician, but when you try to access it via File Manager it disappears or becomes unreadable. If you launch Windows from the drive, it triggers a crash and restarts. Crystal Disk Info reports full health, while Event Viewer logs errors like controller issues on port 3 and paging problems.

It seems the drive is likely experiencing hardware faults that prevent access to files, especially CSGO-related data. Restarting the computer often resolves the issue, possibly resetting the controller. The error messages suggest a failure in the storage controller, which can cause BSODs and crashes. No crash dumps are generated, and no file corruption is detected during testing.

You've already updated drivers and firmware, but other launchers work fine. This points toward a potential compatibility or driver-specific issue unique to Steam. The recent health decline in February 2023 appears resolved by the latest update, though you're advised to consider a full Windows reinstall if problems persist.

You're experiencing the same problem again. It seems a few games are causing a disk write error, making the drive completely inaccessible. The desktop storage settings won't work, and other applications can't connect either. The device appears to be non-existent when trying to open folders. Have you tried any solutions yet?

You tried to resolve the same problem again—swapped the SSD or checked the port? I set up an account just to address this exact question. It’s confusing what to do next.
