Hey there, folks! Here’s what I’ve got so far: The system specs look solid—AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, RTX 4090, and a bunch of gear from Corsair and Asus. It’s running smoothly for most of the time, but lately things have been acting up.

I noticed it started dropping out suddenly, almost like a power cut without any warning. Fans and RGB fans stopped working, then everything came back on after a few seconds. I thought it was just a power supply problem, so I swapped in a new 1000W unit from Be Quiet. After that, the screens would take ages to boot up—sometimes over three minutes. Now they’re slow but eventually work.

There’s also this odd behavior with the GPU. It used to get power through an Nvidia adapter, which converted the old PCIe 4x8 setup to the newer PCIe 6.0 port. But now it’s getting power straight from the PSU’s new cable. I’m wondering if that change affected things.

Once it’s running, I still see random hard resets in Windows. I’ve tried replacing the PSU and UPS, even swapping them out for newer models, but the problem persists. Sometimes the BIOS resets itself after a reboot, so I have to reset it back to defaults.

My monitor is having trouble recognizing itself on startup—sometimes it shows up, sometimes not, especially when Windows loads. I’ve checked the PSU, re-seated everything, and even replaced the BIOS battery. It’s still under warranty, but I’m not sure what’s really causing it.

I’m leaning toward a couple of issues: random restarts that don’t fix up after PSU or UPS changes, and inconsistent monitor detection. The GPU seems to be the main suspect, though I’m open to other possibilities. If I have to try something drastic, maybe a new motherboard or GPU, but I’d rather not risk it.

Anyone else notice this pattern? Let’s figure it out together!
