Unusual problems with Windows 10.
I've been using Windows 10 for a few months now, keeping all updates current—it's crucial so you don't need to ask. Still, yesterday I came home and restarted my PC. Before it brought me to the login screen, it ran some setup screens similar to the ones during initial installation. That seemed strange, but I thought something might be wrong with my system. Once logged in, everything worked fine and all updates were intact. I'm curious about what caused this odd behavior or what could trigger such issues. I've attached an example of what happened.
Your computer has likely received a significant software upgrade, or it hasn’t yet displayed the official “Optimize Performance” notification. Are you logging in with a personal Microsoft account or a local user profile?
Hey there. The "Get even more out of Windows" window used to show up only after a fresh install of Windows 10 or when you boot up a brand-new PC, but I believe Microsoft recently altered it to keep reminding users. It appears "sometimes" if you leave it enabled. To turn it off: Open Spoiler Access Settings, go to "System," then "Notifications & Actions." Uncheck the option that says "Show me Windows welcome experience after updates and occasionally when I sign in to emphasize new features and suggestions."
