This sounds like 1 of 2 things. 1. definitely something faulty with their product QC. 2. Honestly, this seems more likely in my experience, you're stuck with dirty power. Are these machines strictly running off of the solar inverters? kind of a dumb question as that would be A LOT of solar panels. Only way you could potentially test this is to disconnect from WAN and start running stress tests on machines simultaneously and see if that does it as well. There's a chance that along side all of your systems the new switch uses too much power or your power is too dirty to stay stable. My only recommended remedy would be setting up some UPS' (battery backups) to help with clean power transmission. Dirty power has been a problem for me constantly even in the US and ultimately made me buy a UPS for my main PC and one for my server which also has my router and modem plugged into it as well. If you don't think it's a power issue then maybe you might just want to look into a different PoE switch
Confirming the setup is clean. I'm linked to grid power, with inverters only for data and a UPS behind the switch. I wish I had more panels to fully run the house. I plan to disconnect from WAN and run stress tests between machines to determine if the issue lies with WAN or not. It seems unrelated to external sources since internal transfers worked fine before. The old switch was 48x1gb and two 10gb SFP, connected to two Unraid servers—almost identical, but limiting client speeds to 1gb might have hidden the problem. Firmware is current, including the RC firmware from Ubiquiti, which didn't resolve it. I'll check flow control and see if it helps.
Activating flow control resolved the issue. I've been fine throughout the week after adjusting that setting, so it likely wasn't the cause. Appreciate the help.
And here’s the solution. The client’s ability to transfer quickly is causing a bottleneck because data is being sent in large volumes at once. Flow Control halts operations when buffers reach capacity, anywhere along the line. It acts as a temporary fix, but solving the underlying issue would be more effective.
