Unusual problem with the GPU.
I previously owned an Asus A320M-K motherboard with a Ryzen 5600X and a Gigabyte RTX 3060. I upgraded to a Gigabyte B550 gaming X V2 rev 1.3 for additional M2 ports and more RAM, but the x16 PCI-E lane didn’t function properly—my GPU couldn’t display any image. When connecting the speaker, I received a long beep followed by three short beeps. I attempted to use a spare Palit GTX 1650, but it also failed in the second PCI-E lane. Eventually, I decided to return it because it would create performance bottlenecks. I’ve been using my A320 during repairs, but now I still don’t see an image and encounter the same error. I’ve tried cleaning CMOS, re-seating RAM and CPU, and cooling it down, but I’m not sure what to do next. Could it be that the B550 damaged both my RTX and A320? I’m really surprised.
How many RAM modules are you employing? Are they compatible in quantity? Exceeding two modules may cause problems with AMD systems. Mismatched modules can also create issues. Double-check the RAM to confirm all sticks are properly installed and click into place. You should feel the clips engaging audibly. It might require some pressure.
