Hello, I just purchased a brand new AsRock B550 steel legend. After three weeks of use, I decided to update the BIOS because I encountered some unusual problems with my USB devices. I can’t press the command alt f4, and when playing games I struggle to hold the A and tab Q keys. They don’t register properly, and my USB speakers aren’t showing up at all. However, when I connect a keyboard or speakers through the case’s USB port, everything works fine. After the BIOS update, these issues persist, especially during gaming sessions. Now my PC shuts down abruptly, like turning off a PSU, but only when playing 2D or 3D games. I’ve tried a second GPU and still face the same problem. My question is whether this indicates a new BIOS update or if my motherboard is faulty. I’m running an RTX 3600 and have a GTX1650 Super modded card (only voltage mode with some capacitors and shunt mode, not connected to the PCI that was removed and replaced with a new 4-pin module). I checked it with a multimeter—it doesn’t show any connections except when plugged into the PSU, but the PSU is using the same rail. Also, I have an extra 200W power supply, so the PSU itself seems fine. I almost forgot: when I start the PC, the motherboard displays error 98 (something related to USB devices). I have to press F11 to keep the session running. I’m unsure if AsRock includes this in the BIOS, but I can’t save or exit when pressing F10. My old motherboard had an MSI X570 gaming edge and didn’t have this issue. I remember AMD might release a new AGISA update to fix USB problems in April, but I’m not sure if this is the same issue.
Unfortunately the issue remains unresolved. The builder demonstrated a workaround, but I haven't tried it yet. It seems to involve AMD cores or something similar. I haven't examined the details thoroughly. As mentioned, I didn't attempt it myself. He addressed a different problem that doesn't apply to my situation.
