I'm using Google Fiber's 1GB plan but facing significantly slower performance than expected. Initially, speeds were around 3Mbps, which improved to about 87 Mbps after adjusting the DNS settings. However, I still encounter ping spikes that disrupt gameplay.

Based on my earlier inquiry: is this connected via wireless or wired connection? If it's wireless, please attempt a wired speed test. Have you verified if there are any reported problems with Google Fiber in your region right now? Fiber lines are extremely delicate and without further details, this seems to be the case for me. (Maybe that's why @Mark Kaine made a joke... because your speeds aren't fiber... they're terrible lol. I'm sorry, I shouldn't be making fun of you.) If it's wired, then there must be significant issues with your fiber line or a faulty modem and you should contact Google.
Which router brand and model are you using? What is the Wi-Fi adapter's name and model? Keep in mind, your internet speed depends on the slowest connection.
Gather the required details and launch PowerShell. Execute the command to check connectivity and run the specified ping test. Wait approximately one minute, then stop the process by pressing Ctrl + C. Capture the resulting ping statistics from the PowerShell window and share them here.
