When discussing benching voltages, ddr2 should be set between 2.6-2.9v, ddr3 around 2.4v, and ddr4 at 2.05v.
2.0v DDR4 needs cooling. 1.9v is handling the ambient well. That voltage for DDR4 would push you to run CL12 at 4000mhz, which no one—especially not on this forum—has done before, not even Linus. It takes more than just memory voltage to get there. DdR2 and DdR3 aren’t even valid anymore.
Looking at ddr2 1520 7-9-6-10, have any users reached that speed or do I hold the top frequency for ddr2 here? I'm using a 1x3 setup, which lets me push higher with just one stick. My main goal is a 4GB DDR2 RAM with top clock speeds, though I haven't focused much on RAM OC yet. The 1520 is decent but the numbers on 7-9-6-10 seem pretty low. It's stable, but I might think about a cooler later for RAMs. Running a P5Q gives me one of the best RAM OC boards on my system, though it's not great with FSBs. If no one has hit that mark, maybe I'll look for a DDR4 platform and some good boards at a lower price to try 4000 CL12. The 2V doesn't always need a chiller, but eventually voltage stops improving and you'll need to cool the RAMs further.
