How long have you been using this computer? The BIOS updates with the Intel microcode are just slowing down further deterioration. They don’t restore or fix a CPU that’s already failing. It might mean the processor was deteriorating and the update came too late. If the machine is brand new, there could be another issue. Avoid actions that might cancel your warranty. You might want to bring it back to the seller, have them test it, and then receive a replacement.

About six months old, no visible degradation was noticed—it passed all tests and ran all games. It's a self-built PC.

Using Restart instead of Shut Down might resolve the problem. If Fast Startup is active, it acts like hibernation. Since that's undesirable, turning off Fast Startup could help.

I'll attempt it again. Still unsure about the starting point, the process, or the reason behind it.
