Hey there, I just completed setting up my new PC and hit a strange issue: when bandwidth is maxed out—like during a Steam download—I can’t load anything else. Even searching online or opening other sites stops working. Chrome shows it can’t find the DNS address or server IP. Sometimes the Steam download halts too. Running diagnostics says there’s a connectivity problem with my broadband modem: the gateway is reachable, but no internet traffic comes through. The fix suggested is to restart the modem, but after that, the issue keeps happening. It’s not the network chip itself; I just swapped in a new card with a different chipset today and still face the same problem. I’m running Windows 11, all drivers are current. My mainboard is an ASUS ROG Strix B550-A Gaming with the Intel I225-V Rev3 chip. My new UGREEN network card uses a Realtek PCIe GbE chipset. The router is a Telekom Speedport 3 with the latest firmware, and I’m only using Ethernet—no Wi-Fi. Thanks in advance for any advice!
