Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read. I’m currently facing a few challenges with basic mouse operations, audio, and Wi-Fi configuration. I’m using Pop-Os as my main operating system, but a Windows 7 setup is installed on another drive in dual boot. The problems I’m encountering include:

- Microsoft wireless 2000 KB + M setup
- Ra-link USB Wi-Fi
- Sound Blaster Audigy FX

These issues began roughly three days ago. They were functioning perfectly for about two weeks before they started, which is a bit puzzling. I suspect some conflict between the systems, though I’m not sure if that’s the case.

Mouse difficulties: When I right-click, the mouse performs a double-click action. To work around this, I usually hold the right-click button down while hovering over the item. It seems to help, but it’s still frustrating. This issue also appears within games via Steam.

I searched for “mouse” in the package manager, but after reinstalling “inputattach” and adjusting USB settings, it still occurs. I thought it might be a hardware problem, but after checking my Windows 7 and restarting the PC, it still works for a few hours.

Wi-Fi problems: This only happens randomly. I connect to the internet through a hotspot on my phone using a Ra-link USB Wi-Fi dongle. Occasionally, the hotspot disconnects, but other nearby Wi-Fi connections appear in the list. My phone keeps transmitting the hotspot even after I turn it off, which is fine since another device is using it. However, streaming Netflix works through it.

Sound issues: Randomly, while watching a video on YouTube, I paused it to make coffee. When I resumed, there was no sound. After rebooting and turning off the PC, it worked again. I’ve also tried using a different Wi-Fi dongle in Windows 7, but the drivers aren’t compatible yet.

I’m still trying to figure this out and hope someone can help me further.

I just installed inputattach again and the problem appears to be resolved after rebooting. Did it help because I ran the command with admin privileges in the terminal? I recall installing it via the package manager previously, so I’m puzzled about why it didn’t work then.
