Cat damaged a PC with urine and is trying to resolve the problem. The graphics card previously worked but now doesn't function with the motherboard. I've tested another GPU and it works, suggesting the issue might be specific to the original card's connection. After thorough cleaning of the PCIe interface, the system boots up normally, but display output fails only when using the old PC. Seeking advice from others who may have faced similar issues.

The second GPU is a GTX 680, while the original is an RTX 2080ti. Both function on my extra PC, though only the RTX works with the original. I experimented with various PCIe power connectors and different slots. Also switched from HDMI to DP. There was some corrosion from cat urine, but it seems gone after a thorough cleaning.

It seems unusual because the GPU functions properly elsewhere. The card might have suffered minor damage in the liquid, even if it appears intact. Corrosion can be hidden. Consider testing another PCIe slot or resetting the lane settings via CMOS update. If the issue persists with just that board, the problem likely lies with the motherboard’s power connections rather than the GPU itself.
