Hello everyone, I'm facing major stability challenges since adding my new RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3200MHz. The rest of the system includes an i7 6700K overclocked to 4.5GHz (stable for three years), an ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger, and an RTX 2070 Super. After installing the new RAM, I've encountered various blue screens at startup, along with random crashes. The latest blue screen displayed was "CASH_MANAGER," while others showed "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" and another unspecified error. The XMP profile is active in the BIOS, but I've observed inconsistent memory speeds across different BIOS sections and Windows. The XMP is set to 3200MHz, yet it appears as 3395MHz in several places, including Windows. If the RAM isn't operating at its rated speed, could this be contributing to the issues? I've tried reseating it multiple times, performed a CMOS reset, and even removed the CPU overclock. All drivers are current. Thank you in advance for your help!

bclk controls memory performance; a standard value of 100 typically leads to around 3300mhz operation. This number might come from another setting—confirm where it originates. Save your current BIOS and apply the optimized defaults. Test RAM speed to verify it matches the intended rate.

According to @Cyracus, set BCLK to 100 for a clock speed of 3200MHz. The discrepancy with 3395MHz at BCLK 103 might be due to Spread Spectrum affecting BCLK stability, causing variations up to 100MHz. This could impact CPU, RAM, PCIe, SATA, and even SSD performance.

Glad to hear that. After nearly two decades of playing and working on it, the BCLK value has always been elusive for me. I'm still picking up new things each day. Hopefully, the blues screening gets resolved too.

Wondered about the reason behind raising BCLK to 103 MHz? Probably attempted a manual overclock. (Your system has an i7-6700 K, so you could have boosted the CPU ratio instead.)

I never relied on the "EZ-whatever" auto-overclocking from ASUS. I'm curious if it actually adjusts the BCLK speed too. Could be the only user doing it, making it the cause?
