The laptop was discovered on the street during the rain. It appeared mostly intact with only minor watermarks and rust on a few screws. I thought it was worth trying to repair it. I worked through the issues so far, but I’ll save that for another update. The main problem is that my keyboard only functions when I click the Ease of Access button from the login window, then select certain letters and sometimes press the highlighted right Alt key on the screen, which deselects those keys. When done correctly, it works perfectly. If I skip these steps or let the device sleep, typing becomes impossible. I noticed the R and T keys act as back-and-forth arrows, and USB devices aren’t being detected. Could it be that I over-tightened a screw or missed securing something? This issue hasn’t happened before—if it’s broken, it definitely is. The model is GL-753VE with 16 GB RAM, an M.2 SSD, all Windows updates installed, and every Asus update I’ve checked. I need to mention that I can't reach the bios advanced mode due to this issue. The keyboard won't function until I complete the accessibility steps, and USB isn't working either.

Didn't you attempt to locate the owner? It seems unusual to simply leave them in the street. They likely need to be cleaned up or removed more thoroughly.

I shared it on Craigslist and FBME asking for a serial number. I left it up for nearly two years before deciding to try fixing it. Originally, it had a small charge that would turn it on, but it wouldn’t boot and stuck on an odd BIOS screen. A lot of work was needed. It’s been dry for a while now, and if it’s damaged, it might not work again even after accessing the easy access screen on the keyboard.

You'd be amazed by what I discovered on the street, man. 2k, brand new TVs, and even a 4 sum at the bus stop, haha!
