Unusual issue with keyboard and mouse functionality.
I recently purchased a new work laptop and encountered performance issues with my Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. The device often fails to register input, introduces delays, or registers multiple keypresses at once. It relies on the Unifying receiver via a USB-C hub connected to a USB input switch, which allows seamless switching between laptop and desktop. This configuration functioned perfectly on both devices using the same hub. The issue becomes apparent when the receiver is plugged directly into the laptop’s USB-A port, eliminating the problems. I replaced the USB-C hub without resolving the problem, and removing the USB input switch had no impact—suggesting the issue is tied specifically to the USB-C port on my laptop. The system runs Windows 10. Anyone familiar with similar setups has any insights?
What type of keyboard/mouse setup is this? If it’s the K270 bundle, it’s essentially that configuration. Performance can be improved by connecting the receiver to the fastest USB port on the motherboard. I wasn’t able to get it to function properly on 2.0, and at USB 3 10gbps (currently called something else) it might work about 70% of the time. Sometimes pressing harder or using different techniques helps.
