It seems odd you can't delete a 1 mkv file on your D Disk. Most other files work fine, but this one keeps appearing in a confusing dialog. Your CPU temperature is 52°C, and you can't rename it either.
It’s an NTFS drive with a 4TB HDD. That works well, but I’m missing the CD/DVD ROM. Can I set up Ubuntu on a USB flash drive instead? Or is there a simpler method?
Download Unlocker is one of the top programs for Windows I've ever gotten. I used it for years to tackle issues like this. Just install it, right-click the file, choose the Unlocker option, and then pick the delete choice. That's it. If it doesn't remove it immediately, it will delete automatically when you restart your computer.
It's not a real virus, just a false alarm from CNET. You should be able to download it through them. The link you saw might have been incorrect. I don't recall the original site, but if it claims to be safe, it probably isn't modifying Windows. It could be a mislabeled warning.
