Unusual humming noise during headphone use
Hey everyone, whenever I connect my headphones through the PC's headphone jack, I notice a buzzing noise. It happens during scrolling, typing, mouse movement, or when CPU usage exceeds around 15%. The sound persists even when I mute the audio. My Gigabyte B660M DS3H AX DDR4 board is fine, and my headphones work with an iPad jack. Could this be related to the motherboard? Or might it stem from my heavily modified Mac Pro inside the case? The board isn't properly grounded, which could be a factor. If the issue can't be resolved, will using the USB-C connection on Amazon help eliminate the buzz and allow for better audio mixing?
It's not merely current flowing; it feels more like a persistent static hum.
I purchased a ground-loop noise isolator to address this issue, and it resolved the problem. You can find the one I bought here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XQYN77L Hope it assists you.
