Hey there! I recently relocated my PC while it was still in the car, and now it keeps showing these odd lines on any monitor or connection (DP or HDMI). You can check out the issue here: https://imgur.com/a/n3EMfDu. The lines also change when I move windows or resize the screen. Interestingly, my monitor won’t recognize the PC until both devices are connected before turning it on—seems like a hardware problem. Nothing helped after I re-seated the GPU or unplugged everything. I’m hoping this doesn’t require replacing parts and would really appreciate any advice or support.

Did the GPU come out during your move? For better safety, remove it before relocating to prevent any damage. Does the motherboard feature a second PCI slot where the GPU could be connected? If yes, attempt to use that alternative port.

It seems I attempted a different PCIe slot (generation 3) and the shifting lines came back temporarily, though they disappear after logging in. The resolution has been reduced to 1024 x 768. It looks like a motherboard replacement might be necessary, but I’ll check if cleaning the PCIe 4.0 slot helps. Thanks!

Update brief: Installed the GPU back into the PCIe 4.0 port; horizontal lines vanished but resolution problem persists—looks like a GPU-related issue, though I’m hoping it’s not something else.
