Unusual high temperatures on the motherboard are being shown by the HW monitor.
Hello, The HW monitor is displaying unusually high temperatures on your motherboard, often surpassing 100 degrees. This has been a concern since you first acquired the board, an Asus Z170I Pro Gaming from 2016. I understand that not all temperature sensors are compatible with every hardware, but I hoped these issues would resolve over time through updates. It seems unlikely the readings are inaccurate because I haven’t seen any hot spots (though I haven’t used an infrared or pointer thermometer) and after replacing the board for another reason, the high temps persisted while the system remained stable. I’m curious if this problem is widespread among users or if I should be overly concerned about my motherboard overheating beyond 100 degrees.
HWMonitor isn't working correctly and isn't reading data accurately. Try using HWInfo instead.
Thanks to @schwellmo92 and @Skiiwee29, I set up HWinfo and now I see better outcomes. Back then the HW monitor performed well, but things have changed. Appreciate you sharing this information.
