Unusual high-pitched beep coming from your computer screen.
Hello there. Could you help me figure out what’s going on with my PC? I’ve been noticing a loud, high-pitched beep about once every couple of days, sometimes even twice daily. It sounds almost like a whistle at the very top of human hearing. If anyone has experienced something similar, especially if they’ve used those loud beepers from Cat, I think it might be a bit lower in pitch. The bursts are usually just one or two short blips lasting a few seconds each. This has only happened recently, and I haven’t been able to capture it or fix anything yet. The noise seems to come from inside the machine itself.
Here’s what I don’t think it is, though I’m open to suggestions:
- Not the GPU coil whine (it sounds different and isn’t affected by load).
- Not fan noise or interference.
- Not a motherboard error code.
- Not related to the boot-up process.
- Not a typical error pattern seen online.
My specs are listed below. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated!
