This has never occurred before with KMPlayer, but recently I purchased a budget laptop and whenever I watch videos strange green icons appear on the top screen. With Windows Media Player it functions normally and no such icons show up. I've verified the graphics card (GTX 540M) isn't problematic, and both Dota 2 and CS GO are working perfectly. PS: All drivers are current, this was the first thing I looked into.

It seems the issue might be with the codec or format of the movie file. You mentioned drivers are current, but you didn’t test KMPlayer yourself. Let me know the file type and codec so we can figure it out together.
