Also turn off WPS since it's not safe. Use WPA2 with AES encryption—it's far more secure than TKIP.

I reviewed my network configuration and verified it doesn’t include WPS support. WPA2 is active. I’ll keep an eye out for any malfunctioning devices. Thanks!

In that scenario, I wouldn't be concerned. Breaking into WPA2 is unlikely, and it might just be a fake device monitoring your Amazon purchases.

It's unsettling to mention, yet reassuring to realize it's not a threat.

It might be a service running on one of your current devices instead of a real hardware unit.

It seems uncertain how this might work, I have no idea what it would entail.

Your laptop is detecting this as an unauthorized Wi-Fi source. It functions like a FireStick or Chromecast, setting up itself as a hotspot for management. If you have Google Chrome installed, launch YouTube and play a video; in the lower-right corner, you should find a Cast button—give it a test and check if you can control this device.

It seems my previous message might have been lost. I noticed that turning off WPS on your router can prevent unauthorized devices from appearing on the network. Disabling it enhances security.
