Unusual FPS fluctuations observed on certain CS:GO maps with elevated variance.
Hey there! I’ve been facing a strange issue with CS:GO recently. My FPS is really low on some maps while it’s higher on others, and I’m also seeing high variance values. This hasn’t happened in any other game, and I ran a benchmark that showed everything normal. Here are the screenshots for reference: Bad de_cache, Good de_vertigo, Good de_train. My PC specs are: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, no OC GPU, AMD Radeon RX 5700, 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, 500GB SSD, Windows 10 OS. I’ve tried reinstalling CS:GO, changing drivers, switching monitors, adjusting settings, and even deleting launch options with max_fps, but nothing worked. My last resort would be a full Windows reinstall, though I’d rather avoid that right now. Any suggestions would be super helpful—I’m really stuck!
Check your disk performance and health using CrystaldiskMark. Update the BIOS settings. Confirm your RAM configuration: 1x16GB or 2x8GB sticks? Apply XMP profile. Set mode accordingly. Run an OCR scan. Disable any existing OCR or adjust settings slightly. If issues persist, reinstall Windows.
Thank you for your fast reply. Here is the screenshot of crystaldiskmark: https://gyazo.com/62cd831db705eca01132ff989fe58865 I will try to update the bios and put xmp on (if its not already) I don't have any oc active - I don't really have any experience with it so I don't really know how EDIT1: I have 2 RAM sticks EDIT2: Turns out I already have the lastest BIOS Version EDIT3: I oc my cpu to 4.2GHz now and activated XMP. No change, but now I have the fps problems on all maps
