I played Modern Warfare for 10 to 20 minutes and it just froze without any crash report. Battle.net didn’t prompt to start in safe mode either. Ray tracing was disabled because it caused the crash. My PC ran the game at maximum settings with over 60 fps, so there was no hardware issue. I’m looking for fixes that won’t require re-downloading the game, which could take 4 to 5 days of constant downloading.

I purchased that game when it was first released and I enjoy playing with my friends. Every update causes it to crash for some players without any clear reason. We have five of us with different setups, so you just need to understand that Infinity Ward isn’t skilled enough to create a stable PC version. Here are some possible solutions (it sometimes helps for some of us): - Reduce the graphics quality. - Update the video drivers to the newest version. - Reinstall the shaders (you can adjust them in the settings of COD MW).
What amount of RAM do you currently have? You noticed fewer problems after switching from an 8GB to a 16GB module.
