Over several years (windows installs older than 6 years), I've encountered this problem. It affects the GPU somewhat, but works with AMD. On my system (5700g, 780m, 7800xt egpu, 8060s), both main and secondary displays show strange behavior on many websites filled with blue. No other programs display this effect. Both Firefox and Chromium are impacted. When I keep the webpage open, it burns into the screen temporarily, but the effect fades after a while—turning the screen on/off doesn't help. Screenshots don't show anything abnormal. This issue isn't severe enough to force a Windows reinstall; I'd rather avoid using those affected pages. The first problem started when switching windows.

I checked whether it worked on the same screen or if it applies to multiple monitors.

Have you checked removing or turning off browser add-ons? Are there any common extensions that appear in both browsers? Have you reinstalled the web browsers? Did you run a security check recently? By "same PC under Mint," I assume you're using Linux Mint? If your Windows version is over six years old, you're likely on Windows 10—consider switching to Mint permanently.

I use two monitors with different models. Chromium is the default setup. Firefox with extensions works well, keeping a synced profile between Windows and Linux after reinstalling. I’ve completely reset the profile on Firefox once. Unfortunately, switching to Linux isn’t feasible: - Libre Calc doesn’t match Excel requirements. - CAD and other simulation tools aren’t available on Linux. - Cheat Engine tables don’t function there either. A clean Windows install is also problematic due to the large number of software changes needed, especially older ones.

Maybe you could attempt to remove everything you don’t need, though it seems unlikely.
