I own a fresh computer, and I handled the hardware changes myself. Once I switched to an M.2 SSD, random lag began occurring roughly every half hour, with audio distortion lasting about 1–2 seconds. It’s quite bothersome. I refreshed my motherboard BIOS and updated all drivers, but nothing resolved the issue. After replacing the SSD, it worked fine with my ASUS TUF X570 gaming plus board. The new SSD is a compatible model from CT2000P5P. I attempted to replace the RAM with another type, yet the lag persisted. I upgraded my power supply to a 650W model, and checked the wattage calculator on Newegg—it suggested 650W was sufficient. Although I missed out on a higher rating, I’m unsure if that’s the problem. My system runs AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with 32GB RAM and a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, all updated. The lag continues even during simple tasks like web browsing, causing noticeable jitter and audio glitches lasting seconds. This issue also occurred on an older board with outdated components after I moved to the M.2 setup.

Consider turning off fTPM in your BIOS settings. If this fails, it may indicate a faulty M.2 storage device.
