Unusual buzzing noise while moving the mouse on a PC (Occasionally high pitch) {UNRESOLVED}
I experience an unusual noise that sounds like buzzing when I move my mouse. It can be high-pitched or very loud, and it’s been bothering me for a few months now. I didn’t notice it before, but it’s becoming more bothersome. My setup is in my home, which makes it even more noticeable.
It could be coil whine, but I’m not sure how your mouse movement affects it.
Occurs mainly in games or on the desktop as well. It's often coil whine, and sometimes the mouse movement in a game changes the sound slightly, just like how you feel.
The same issue exists on my dad's computer, which I'm using unfortunately because...look above my avatar
From what source? You're not allowed to return all items easily, right? And why does this only occur when you move the mouse?
Shift your cursor to a front USB port or test another mouse to check if the problem continues. It could be caused by electrical interference or a grounding issue in the ports.
Consider testing the mouse in a different USB port. Attempt to turn off power-saving features in Nvidia Control Panel (for Nvidia) or Catalyst Control Center (for AMD) and check if the issue resolves. If not, the power supply could be the problem. Some older Corsair power supplies often make buzzing sounds over time.
