Hi there, first post here. I've built a new computer yesterday using Asus B450M-Gaming/BR motherboard (https://www.asus.com/br/Motherboards-Com...GAMING-BR/) and Athlon 3000g CPU (https://www.amd.com/en/products/apu/amd-athlon-3000g). At first, it did not boot. After some troubleshooting with PSU, cables and memory, I've took off CPU cooler (i'm using CPU box cooler) and CPU and installed both again. Then it turned on, but temperature, voltage and fan readings at BIOS are very weird. I shows CPU and motherboard temperature at -1Cº/31ºF , CPU voltage highly above recommended (in red ), CPU and chassi fans not detected (they're all running, though). After installing Windows and all recommended updates, then running HWMonitor, it shows CPU voltage and temp are ok (35ºC on temp, I don't remember the voltage right now). No weird behaviour except for the warnings about "no CPU fan" and "CPU high voltage" at BIOS/UEFI after every restart. I will take pictures/get precise readings of everything, but I wanted to know if I should be worried or should stop using the PC right now to avoid damage (I've turned it off just in case). I've googled for this issue and found nothing similar, so I thought of Linus saying this forum is very helpful, so I wanted to check with you guys first. I will update this with more information/pictures tomorrow (it's close to midnight here), so thanks in advance and please forgive me if text is not clear (English is not my first language). Cheers, JP

I've made the necessary adjustments. The update has been applied to the bios.

Hi JP,
Your setup looks stable overall. The BIOS warnings you mentioned are common and usually harmless, just indicating it’s checking things during startup. Since the system functions normally otherwise, you probably don’t need to worry too much. Ignoring BIOS alerts is fine unless you notice persistent issues. Keep an eye on performance and stability over time. Cheers!

HWmonitor seems off; consider using HWInfo64 instead. Everything appears normal in Ryzen master. You might have an unusual issue in the BIOS—reflash could help. Make sure CMOS is reset before proceeding. Perhaps a newer version targeting second-gen Ryzen chips would be better, as they use Zen+ 12nm Athlon. (Revision 2409 marks the start of support for 3000g.) That’s the best I’ve heard for your concern.
