I’m currently preparing for a friend’s visit next year. I’ve been adjusting the system to improve performance, which involved overclocking the CPU. Because of the limitations, I was concentrating on the processor settings. After every first boot, the screen showed: “reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.” I couldn’t bypass it by pressing a button, but using CTRL+ALT+delete worked to restart. Once I switched to a non-optimized profile, the message vanished. I verified the boot settings match what I expected.

I’m still puzzled about what caused this issue. The hardware includes an AMD A10 7850k APU, a GByte GA F2A88XN motherboard, and a 1TB HDD from Seagate. Everything seems fine except for the unexpected boot prompt. It’s not a major crisis, but I’m curious about the underlying cause.
