Previously I had two monitors connected to my system—an Acer AL1916W and a BenQ G922HDL. Today the Acer monitor stopped working, so I tried reconnecting it but it didn’t help and the BenQ one also lost signal. I disabled all USB ports (or at least thought my keyboard was off). When I reconnected the Acer monitor, audio issues appeared and eventually stopped, so I powered off the PC. The other monitor worked perfectly. Here are my details for reference: a Ryzen 7 1700 with Wraith RGB cooler, an ASRock X370 Killer Sli 2x 8GB, G.Skill TridentZ RGB Radeon RX 580 Sapphire Nitro+ 8G, Corsair CX650M case fans, a 3.5" HDD plus two smaller ones via SATA. I used an HDMI to VGA adapter because the Acer monitor only had VGA input. The BenQ model supports DVI and had a GPU port. My USB devices included Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite, a pen tablet, and a mouse. Also, if this helps, the audio distortion seemed like Windows froze due to power loss—something that happened once when the power cut and UPS activated.
