Hello. A few days back I chose to install the creator fall update for Windows, but after the update my system started acting oddly. First, it doesn’t shut down automatically using the usual method—it requires me to press and hold a button. Second, when I turn it on, connecting to the network takes about two minutes or more. Could anyone assist me? Thanks in advance.

It seems you're expressing strong skepticism about the updates. Let me know how I can assist further.

It looks unusual for the wireless setup. Perhaps check the device manager and refresh the drivers for your wireless equipment. If that doesn’t help, a complete reinstall might be necessary. The shutdown behavior also seems strange—personally, I’ve pushed updates until they succeeded, but they still forced themselves onto my system. Forget about forced updates.

I've faced similar issues before. Often needs a short delay or network fix... Updated drivers worked. Possibly the browser is the issue—had trouble with Opera, so waited a while before using it again. Turning off the sync resolved it.

Press Windows key + R, type services.msc, scroll to the end and find "Windows Update". Double-click it, turn it off, click stop then apply. Live happily ever after.
