Unusual 2080ti actions My behavior is strange lately.
Over the past weeks, I've been struggling with VRChat. The audio stays current but keeps looping every ten seconds. Only the most recent frame appears, and stepping away makes me fade into the steam background. Likely a GPU issue. I’ve also noticed strange white lines in my headset that appear and disappear randomly. After a VRC crash, I saw one on my desktop—check the top of the screen. My second monitor isn’t working well for heavy tasks like Photoshop or Substance Painter; both are running slowly. If these are on the second screen, I see flickering, stuttering video and audio, and UI flashes. I’ve cleared my cache, reinstalled drivers, used Ccleaner and Malwarebytes. The performance tests were strong—98.1% FPS max, 102.85 FPS average, and it passed the stress test with a high score. My GPU seems to be failing, or maybe I should consider another solution.
It seems like the problem might extend beyond just the GPU itself. I wouldn't jump to conclusions about a simple GPU failure without checking further. It's possible a basic GPU could be the issue, but I'd want to verify that first. Additionally, I've noticed that older GPUs sometimes benefit from slightly reducing memory speed, which can actually prolong their lifespan. Over time, the GPU's memory may become unstable at its default clock speed, leading to artifacts and crashes in games.
