Hello everyone. Please accept my apologies if this seems like a repeat; I wasn't able to locate anything similar. I own a Lenovo L340 Gaming laptop equipped with an i5-9300h, GTX 1650 and 16GB DDR4. While I achieve solid frame rates in many titles, they don't match the smoothness you expect. Halo Infinite stands out as the prime example. I'm consistently hitting 70+ FPS, but it feels like only around 30 FPS. I recently played Infinite on a Steam Deck, which offered a much smoother experience, even though the deck was only delivering about 45 FPS. My own setup felt similar to that drop to roughly 30 FPS. In theory, my laptop should outperform the Steam Deck significantly and benefit from better cooling. It's also producing substantially higher frame rates. My suspicion is unstable frame delivery—perhaps in games like Minecraft or Halo MCC, my 90% lows drop to the 30s range. For instance, Minecraft can reach about 150 FPS, but my reported 90% lows sit in the 30s. I'm unsure what's causing this issue or how to resolve it. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
