Hey there, I'm struggling with a few issues. We've had unpredictable crashes across different games—some happen right after launching, others up to an hour later. In Total War Warhammer 3 and Helldivers 2, I noticed weird shutdowns after booting, especially with the wallpaper and graphics services. For Rimworld, the system would shut down completely during startup, but GPU readings jumped wildly from 200MHz to 2590MHz. After turning off wallpaper and certain services, the problem vanished—though I’m still unsure why.

My specs are: Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX CPU, Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Corsair iCUE H150i RGB ELITE, 64GB Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000MHz, MSI GeForce RTX 4080 16GB, WD Black SN850X SSD, Corsair HX1000i PSU, and Arctic F12 fans.

Game problems include:
- Helldivers 2 (crash ~10–20 mins, 144FPS 1440p)
- Total War: Warhammer 3 (crash ~1–2 hrs, stable at 144FPS)
- Rimworld (hard shutdown on boot, GPU spikes, resolved after disabling services)

I’ve tried: disabling iCUE and wallpaper, updating drivers, resetting RAM defaults, adjusting power limits, running stress tests, and even changing GPU link speed. No consistent fix.

Temperature sensors show normal readings, and the system handled Prime95 and Furmark tests fine. The issue seems tied more to power spikes or driver quirks rather than overheating. I’m open to suggestions—anyone have ideas?

Uncertain about the GPU side but I’ll note that DDR5 performs better with two RAM sticks and four can even lead to decent instability.
