Unstable reference gtx 980s
Hi guys, I've been browsing these forums often but rarely post since I usually find what I need. I'm feeling a bit stuck though. I own two reference 980s in SLI and was trying to overclock one. I'm struggling to find a suitable setting. The GPUs keep crashing no matter what I do. Using MSI Afterburner, I adjusted the core clock between 1400mhz and 1500mhz with power at +25%. After about 30 minutes of gaming, my PC crashes repeatedly and needs a reboot. At first, I thought it was overheating, but temperatures never exceed 55 degrees. This happened without changing voltage or memory clock settings. Do I really have bad cards?
Also keep in mind that as soon as I attempt to run a benchmark, the Nvidia drivers immediately stop working, yet the benchmark continues.
raise the voltage a bit higher. what happens to the card when you only have one in the pc?
