Last month I began experiencing this problem where my screen would intermittently shut down and display the warning "No HDMI signal coming from your device." My computer remains operational, fans spin, and the LED sign on the Gigabyte Eagle is illuminated. However, I can't restart the PC via the power button or turn it off with the power switch. Only the PSU control is functional, and when I power it back on, Windows attempts to boot and after a short time, the desktop loads, resetting the clock to midnight of that day and setting RAM frequency back to 2133 MHz. When I enter BIOS, it informs me that the system has been reset and advises reconfiguring BIOS settings if necessary.

Here are my PC specifications:

- Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite v2
- Processor: Ryzen 7 5700X
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT, 8GB VRAM
- RAM: Initially Kingston HyperX Fury 2666MHz 16GB (4x4GB), later replaced with Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) at 3200 MHz CL16)
- PSU: Cooler Master Elite v3, 600W
- Attempts made: XMP disabled caused instability; XMP enabled improved stability but still triggered random shutdowns.

My investigation so far:

1. Swapped CMOS battery – led to clock reset and BIOS reset.
2. Updated RAM from Kingston to Corsair – stabilized performance, eliminated BSOD and display issues.
3. Tested different HDMI cables – no improvement.
4. Adjusted power/shutdown settings – display stayed on.
5. Installed latest drivers and BIOS – no changes needed.
6. Used alternate SSD for Windows installation – no impact.
7. Verified RAM model in BIOS – not found on the verified list, possibly contributing to issues.
8. Confirmed GPU wasn’t the cause (previously functional).
9. Checked QVL lists – Kingston RAM was missing, possibly causing warnings.
10. Noted RAM box claims compatibility with Intel, but I’m using AMD.
11. Powered off PC occasionally while idle; display only shuts down during active use.
12. Seller advised against enabling XMP on AMD processors – this may be the root of instability.
13. RAM supports Intel Core i7, yet issues persist; uncertainty remains.

I’m still unsure about the exact cause, but I’ll keep trying different configurations and will share more details if needed.
