I recently switched to a new monitor. My previous setup was 2 24-inch 1080p at 144Hz displays, everything worked fine before. The new monitor is all in one configuration—1440p at 144Hz. Yesterday it functioned perfectly, but now I’m experiencing strange choppy animations with some apps. For instance, my zoom client app feels very jittery when the window moves, especially with VLC, while regular Windows Explorer runs smoothly. The screenshot tool also shows extreme jitter. I’ve tried enabling variable refresh rate since it’s a G-sync monitor and adjusting the refresh rate, but nothing has resolved the issue. I’m wondering if others have any suggestions.

It's noteworthy. I'm experiencing some problems with Twitch's performance. Turning off hardware acceleration in Chrome resolves the issue. I haven't tested Zoom on my personal computer yet, but adjusting settings there might help too.

I attempted this for the Zoom app, though other programs are also impacted, suggesting a possible Windows 10 issue.

Based on what you mentioned, it seems like there might be a problem with the driver. It's a good idea to back up your data and perform a fresh installation.

Adjusted the display frequency to 60hz and then raised it to 144hz in Windows settings. The performance improved significantly, with smoother animations and no jitter. It appears the changes didn’t persist after a restart, so I’ll keep tracking this over the coming days to confirm consistency.
