Before increasing the speed, I could consistently achieve 144 frames per second in Fortnite using the maximum settings. There were some minor fluctuations along the way.

Adjust the overclock and observe if it stabilizes.
Share your system details for assistance with adjustments.
It still drops frames after returning to normal.
Here are my specifications:
Ryzen 7 1700 x
GTX 1070Ti
16GB Corsair RAM
Asus Prime X370-pro motherboard (for reference on the type of motherboard)
