Unplugging 8+6 pin fix PC! (temporarily)
Hello,
I'm experiencing an issue where the GPU becomes unstable and the computer restarts. After unplugging and plugging in the 8+6 pin power connector, the problem resolves. This occurred every three months previously but is now happening more often. Could it be related to the power supply?

Corsair TX650M 80 Plus (second hand)
GPU experiences load and the computer restarts for two main reasons;
1) Overheating problem
2) The PSU can't supply enough power when the system is under stress.

Please note the duration the device was used by the previous owner and their original specifications before it reached you.
It would be wise to obtain a well-built 750W unit and verify if the issue continues.

Whenever unusual and mysterious events occur, the PSU is usually the culprit. The duration needed to power down, disconnect, and reconnect cables tends to lower the PSU's temperature, possibly allowing capacitors nearing failure to reset. There are also constraints on the number of PCIe connector insertions, and you might be removing pins, leading to a partial intermittent connection. Replacing the PSU would likely be the simplest solution. Newer cables can still improve performance even if the GPU side stays the same.
