Recently I changed my bios on my Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite and faced several problems. Running Windows 11 requires enabling various security settings in the bios. For a long time I couldn't fix the secure boot signature errors after updating the bios. I even reset the secure boot keys and CMOS. Then the board stopped working properly and would power off on its own. I even connected a speaker to test if it was still active, but there was no sound or beep. I tried everything, including the crash-free bios feature that lets you re-flash the bios without a processor. Still nothing. After spending $400, I got a newer board with the latest bios and it worked perfectly. I also noticed my RAM wasn't using its XMP profiles correctly, causing strange behavior. It seems my RAM might be faulty when running XMP. Now I need to identify which of the four RAM sticks is the issue.

Windows 11 has some frustrating issues. The security features aren't really about protection but more about securing hardware. It also struggles with 3200 MHz speeds—usually that's a problem. I’d suggest bringing the board to someone for a quick check, because it’s a huge waste of time to send it back through RMA. Gigabyte doesn’t handle returns or repairs well.

I’ve already verified it’s just one small problem. I’m confident it’s not a major issue. I won’t send a return or exchange for the old board. I’ll keep it and display it eventually.

After many hours of testing, I discovered the problem. It was just one faulty RAM stick. Sadly, I can't simply grab a single stick and have to purchase a full kit...
