I'm looking for assistance as I haven't found a fix online. My setup includes an Alienmware M15 R7, Ryzen 6 6800H, and 3060 graphics card. I was attempting to install drivers for GameCube controllers using Zadig, but the first option on the list seemed to be my keyboard or something similar. Since the keyboard stopped working completely, I've checked it in BIOS and confirmed it still works physically. The HID keyboard didn't appear in Device Manager until recently when I replaced a non-used device with its driver. I've tried a full Windows reinstall, Windows troubleshooter, Dell/Alienware tools, and other replacement drivers.

The site didn’t list any available drivers for the keyboard. Usually I avoid relying on strange third-party tools during installation, so I won’t attempt to use one to get drivers from the Alienware page.

Check the option to delete the driver, if available, then restart the device.

No updates listed on the alienware site. Only firmware upgrade tools have been tested, but none changed anything.

Tried that a few times and nothing changes. On zadig they have an FAQ for an issue like this where you just remove the device and select to delete the driver, but i don't get the option to delete the driver and when i reboot it just shows up again

It was a full reset, clearing everything and starting anew.

This process doesn't erase everything. You'll use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool with an 8GB USB stick. Load the Windows ISO onto the drive, then restart your laptop and press F12 repeatedly during startup to access the boot menu. Select the USB as the installation medium. At the setup stage, you'll identify the correct partition—often labeled C:—and format it. Keep in mind it will completely erase the data, so be ready to lose everything on that drive.

Recommended to delete every partition so only free space remains. To prevent errors, shut off all secondary drives.
