Observed unusual actions I didn’t expect after using Unifi switches. My Kodi setup wouldn’t scan for new content at startup. Initially, there was no internet connection for a short time after booting, which caused a failure when trying to access my NAS. This issue appeared consistently across all devices tested. Only my laptop worked without this problem since it’s connected via Wi-Fi (AC-PRO). Still, I can’t pinpoint the exact cause. Anyone have suggestions?

Start with checking spanning-tree settings for the ports. Make sure they’re configured as end hosts, not just any ports. This will help avoid delays before moving to forwarding. If the ports are correctly set up as host ports, you can skip the waiting phase and proceed directly.

I share the view of @Lurick but Unifi doesn’t allow direct user configuration for ports like Edge or PortFast. You can only adjust spanning tree settings such as RSTP, STP, or none, and set the switch’s priority. As for @Dujith, the main point is to ensure the switch is configured for RTSP. Refer to page 133 of the provided guide.
