The Router setting refers to using an external router to manage network rules. It allows you to set up VLANs for all your UniFi devices via the controller, so they’re configured to receive routing from non-UniFi devices. Keep it enabled in your UDM.

Thank you for your feedback. It seems unclear how the process works when you select your own switch, as applying rules directly isn’t possible.
