Start with the server up and use a port forwarding test site to confirm it’s accessible. Make sure your routers are set to forward inbound and local ports 25565-25565, and the server is on port 25565. Ensure the Windows firewall isn’t blocking TCP port 25565. Your friends should be able to reach you at [your public ip]:25565 if it works. If they can’t connect despite these settings, you’re likely behind a carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT). Verify this by checking your routers’ public IP address against the one you get when searching for your IP. If they differ, CGNAT is in effect.
