Hey everyone, just wrapped up setting up my new PC and immediately started using Cinebench. Here’s what I got:
CPU - 1273 cb
CPU (Single Core) - 170 cb
Build specs:
ASUS PRIME Z370-P
i7 8700k (not overclocked)
EVGA GTX 1070 SC 8GB
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB (2x8GB) at 2666Mhz
Watercooler Deepcool Maelstrom 240T – temps stay under 53°C
Note: Running Intel XTU during benchmarks kept the clock speed below 3.98 GHz

Hi Daniel,
Based on what you mentioned, there seems to be an issue somewhere. Have you applied all the BIOS updates? Also, have you performed a Windows update? If yes, from here I notice two things to verify. First, reset your motherboard by removing the battery and ensuring the PC is unplugged from the wall. Then, in BIOS, confirm everything is set to auto and that Hyper-threading is enabled. Let me know what you find.
Rodolphe.

Rodolphe, it was clearly the BIOS. It seems the EZ flash online hadn't updated properly, but after using an USB drive, it worked correctly and performance improved. Thanks.
