Hey there. I'm facing a strange issue with my brand-new PC running Windows 10. It's really frustrating because I can't find the right way to search for help online. I've tried rephrasing my problem, but nothing seems to match what I need. Now I'm reaching out for real assistance instead of relying on search engines. Specifically, when I switch to full-screen in an app—like an image viewer or music player showing album art—I get a notification sound when I switch tabs. I have no idea where this comes from.

Capable of capturing video or recording audio clips. If you're unsure, using GeForce experience with an NVIDIA GPU works—press Alt+Z to start screen recording.

Reviewing active applications is a solid first step. Capture a snapshot of Task Manager, Process Explorer, and Process Hacker.

Windows will temporarily stop alerts when it's in full screen, then resume them once you leave that mode.

You can modify settings using Cortana Focus Assist, and notifications are displayed via the Notification icon at the top right of the taskbar.

I identified the source as the ESET NOD32 app. I disabled pop-ups and kept only the notification sound, yet it continues to alert you.

Great job figuring it out! After researching the issue, I found a fix and just turned off the automatic mode when using full screen. Still helpful.
