Well, I was expecting solid performance around 4.4/3.9 GHz thermally, but now it's dropping to 4.1/3.7. Those frequency bands don't really impact the overall hash. Since my 2080 Ti tends to stretch resources a bit, the lag spikes vanish with TechPowerUp SpeedShift EPP. I definitely don’t want to go full water cooling... can I keep this grudge? Would it be okay to save power while still enjoying the latest AAA games? Isn't that doable? Anyone have thoughts? The main issue seems to be the preference for water cooling, but underclocking it by about two or three steps feels like a tough consumer choice.

Always adjust the power consumption threshold in the UEFI firmware, which is the simplest method to control heat generation when cooling options are restricted.
