Hey everyone, I went through the TUF board manual in search of information about SATA ports being turned off when using two NVMe 3.0 drives. The manual didn’t mention anything about it, but it seems the board will disable half of its ports when dual NVMe is active. That would mean I’d need four extra SATA ports from a RAID controller to connect all my planned storage. With your setup—2 GPUs, 2 NVMe drives, 2 SSDs, and 4 HDDs—I’m using 24 lanes total. That should give me at least the four additional lanes needed for the RAID controller, right? Based on the current specs: Proxmox 7.1.1 R9 3950x, MSI B450 Carbon AC (most PCIe slots are disabled except first), GTX 750, dual NVMe, two SATA SSDs, and two NAS HDDs. My upgrade plan includes an ASUS TUF X570 Plus with more PCIe lanes, a GTX 1660S for hardware encoding, and possibly more HDDs to expand storage. I previously asked a similar question yesterday, but the details are still unclear. Should this work as I expect?
